Arctostaphylos morroensis, Morro Manzanita sand tolerant and in shade containersRare manzanita species endemic to Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County, California. Most manzanitas are known by their dramatic peeling mahogany bark, but this species differentiates itself by ribboning in shades of gray. Foliage in the blue green range and white flowers with a pink blush in early spring. Prefers to grow in sand, but has done well in our Willamette Valley clay up on a berm. Full sun is normally not recommended for the California
